How Do I Start Taking To God My Problems

By Joanna Walsh

My yoke is easy and my burden is light are the two single most important statements used in the Gospel of Matthew to encourage those who are going through tough times in this life. Many people have asked themselves how do I start taking to God all problems overtime. The sad thing is, people are still asking the same question over and over again, and that is okay.

God wanted human beings to live happily in the Garden of Eden, until two people, Adam and Eve, drank the cup of rebellion and gave birth to disobedience. Since then, sin, death, pain and trouble have been part of humankind. After the serpent deception, eating the fruits from the forbidden tree in the middle of the Garden was not a problem in the eyes of the two at all.

You need to have the conviction and the faith that God has the power to help. Take an example of the Centurion, he only asked Jesus to speak a word and his servant would be healed because he had the faith that Jesus was the son of God and had the power to heal and restore health to the sick. You also need to do the same; believe that God can heal, save and help you through the situation you are going through.

Even after having sinned against God, He changed His mind on destroying humankind forever to giving them a chance to live again. And though He did not take death away, He made it a rite of passage from one phase of life to the other. Human beings now have the hope that they will one day spend eternity with God once life on earth is over.

Once you have the conviction that God can help and have the faith that he will, analyze your problems. It is okay to have problems by the way because this is part of life. So take time to think about what it is that you are going through.

Pray to God through Jesus, telling him all the things that you desire and the troubles that you are going through. Ask him to open the eyes and ears of your understanding and knowledge respectively so that you find a solution to these problems soon.

In as much as God knows what you need even before you ask him, talk to him about it. He is not busy for sure, but He wants to hear you tell him the desires of your heart before He can help. He says you call to Him, and He will show you great and marvelous things that you do not know.

The best thing about God is that is always hears. You can be sure that he will always come to your rescue. When you feel like you have come to an end, remember he is just getting started to help.
