It is a branch of math that is especially important in the field of law as many of those who are in the field of law will be able to use it. Now not only the lawyers would make use of statistics but even the judges, the prosecutors, and everyone who is in the field. Now hypothesis testing is indeed a very important topic in law simply because this would be able to produce figures that cannot seem to be solved.

Now there would be the linear regression to connect an independent variable and a dependent one. There would also be the multiple regression which would link an independent one to more than one dependent variables.
