With this need to have sound knowledge comes the importance of being a skilled communicator and able to deliver what one knows effectively in a legal setting. Compiling documents with effective language usage, using correct grammar and punctuation and a good flow of language and style is also imperative.

Criminal law is as it suggests linked with crime. This means it is inextricably linked with police work. For this reason, the advocate in question needs to know about police work and be familiar with police modus operandi. The person must be on good terms with the police. This will help him understand the evidence against the person he is representing.

If you believe you have the skills to be one, you should go ahead and help people. Remember that you need to be strong and skilled to do this well. Justice and integrity should be your motto.
