Lessons Learnt From Studying At A Pentecostal Bible College

By Betty Carter

Those who believe in God that there can only be one God and one God only do not only possess a strong moral compass but most likely a devout belief. Like those who meet the above-mentioned criteria, the study in a Pentecostal Bible CollegeIs to affirm their beliefs rather than to persuade anybody else of anything different.

Baptism is an important hallmark of the Christian faith and can happen in one of two ways. The first and most prominent of these methods is through the water. Water is not just a means to physically nourish the body but also replenish one s spiritual being and aid it in bringing about an untainted spirit that has been born afresh.

In addition, baptism is not only limited to water but the Holy Spirit as well. For those who truly believe and follow God are blessed with the presence of the Holy Spirit. Through an in-depth analysis of God s word from both tenses the ability to receive and used gifts that Christ made available, like for example the ability to speak in tongues. What is important to note, however, is that baptism does not cause one endowed with gifts to speak in tongues and vice versa.

Salvation is a trait that is held highly by scholars of the bible of Pentecostal Christian believers. This is especially true as it is believed that salvation is the key to living a sin free life, a life that closely resembles that which was present back in the day of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

But a towering need for change is needed before any of the teachings can be put into practice. This change needs to come from both the spirit and the mind in order for it to be deemed successful. A successful change in attitude may lead to a person being able to truly understand the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and the consequences thereafter of that particular sacrifice.

In addition to all of this, bible studies teach and encourages people to learn about tithing and its importance. How giving 10% of what a person truly makes to the church not only places them in an ideal place to receive their personal blessings but allow others to serve the church and do work for the Lord.

With that said, all of the above is not done in blind faith, as scholars of the bible are made aware of any disadvantages, or to place it in a better context alerted of any dangers and negative effects of tithing in the wrong manner or with the wrong intentions. Giving a balanced picture of what it means to tithe rather than leave it to assumption.

When all is said and done, when everything materialistic were to be stripped away. What should remain is a person who is able to live by the virtues of Christ and follow in their footsteps in all sphere s of life by actively pursuing a sin-free life, the preservation of life and to use the gifts endowed upon them to great effect. All of these virtues and many more are what one should seek after studying the Bible in preparation for the final day where people will be judged according to how they led their lives.
