By Sharon Weeks

Most of us loves to have our own pets, since they are always there to make us happy and even complete our lives from those people who left us. We are willing to give them a life which will make them at ease. We invested our time and affection to them and we do not want them to get hurt and top hurt others.

We should be responsible enough to take good care of them and we do not allow bad things that might possibly happened with them. But unfortunately, some instances that they lose their control and they harm other people or even the owner themselves. There are a lot of dog bite lawsuit Michigan because they strongly believe to exercise rights to the owners and to the animals.

In Michigan, they obtain and follow a rule to help protect the rights of the victims and the owners properly. They give people three years to have this case to be worked on, and withing those years and they have not done anything about it, the court will not hear them with their complains. This is better known as Statute of Limitation, where they can have the right justice with this situation.

There are several conditions that you need to remember as a victim or owner too. Make sure that it is a dog bite and this was not caused because you did something to provoke them. It should be within a public are or a lawfully private property during the accident that happened.

There are two things to be considered before you may select a case that you file against them. We have the strict liability which would simply implies that any owner is responsible for the trouble made by their dogs. It might impossible for them because some dogs did have any story about hurting others, but this should be brought to the court.

Negligence liability, on the other hand is the on that you are injured but not bitten. If the animal of your neighbor attacked you and you got scars and other injuries, this rule can be applied. Be sure to know the difference and as long you are not bitten, the only case you may file is the negligence liability.

As an owner, you have ways to defend yourself as well from accusations which do not have solid grounds. If av victim was bitten because he or she is doing something bad towards the dog causes it to act violently, then they are at fault. The owner does not have any responsibilities to give with them, since its their fault.

Trespassing is another way to free your dog from accusation. They are not responsible for victims who went in their place without any permission from the people living there. They will really react on a stranger and if you went in there without asking permission then they surely free from those liabilities that they are about to face.

This is not a nice thing to happened and specially it caused trouble to others. Be responsible enough to handle the situation and take it properly. We should manage our pets to become responsible as well.
