Character Traits Of A Good Indianapolis Christian Church Leader

By Brian Reed

As human beings, we all have different character traits as we are not the same. This is not as different in the church environment as the members meet from all areas and come together to worship. Being a member and a leader in the church are two positions that cannot be compared. As much as they are both in the church for the same reason, a leader has much more responsibility as compared to an ordinary member. To acquire this position is not easy as your moral values should be up to the set standards. Below are character traits that a good Indianapolis Christian Church leader should possess.

This individual should always be on the right track of righteousness. His decisions should not be based on human reasoning but on how God wants things to be done. According to Proverbs 16, it says that all that man can do is make plans but is it is only up to God to have them accomplished. Therefore, one should allow God to lead their steps in every single decision and activity that they take.

True leadership should be without any arrogance. When one is directed by someone that is too strict, there comes the point where everything will be a waste of time. It will not bear any fruit to the intended person, and this is not how things should be. When you take time and read the book of Proverbs chapter 16 verses 5, you will learn that egotistical people are a disgrace to God. For this reason, one should be modest in life.

Fairness and being just needs be in the DNA of any leader that calls themselves credible. They say that the end justifies the means, but this is something that simply does not hold water. Leaders should always keep their eyes on doing things in this right way. This is something that is clearly outlined in the good book of Proverbs 16:8 where it talks about how little riches obtained righteously are better than great riches amassed irregularly.

The leaders needed here should be able to judge fairly. It is great that the leaders should live a life that is admirable to others. It is through living a rightful way that one may be considered as a great organizer. The book of Proverbs chapter 16 verses eight continues to show how it is critical gain wealth in the right way than the evil one.

It is wise that they spend a considerable amount of time with other leaders as there is room to learn more and grow both spiritually and mentally. The leaders that have been in those positions for a long period could act as advisers and counselors thus mentoring the new leaders to become of more significance in the church.

They should be ready to learn as this position requires someone who is inquisitive and ready to know more about God and how to help others know Him as well. In the Bible, King Solomon was termed as the wisest man in the history of man after God asked him what he desired to have and he opted for wisdom. It is not simple to work in such a department without wisdom, knowledge and Bible facts.

Good leaders result to the prosperity of a church. The information above will help you determine the most appropriate individual for such a position.
