7 Beliefs That Are Connected To The Weeping Statue Mary

By Gary Rogers

In the Hobbs, New Mexico Catholic Parish, something great has happened that has left many people bewildered. This is because people have witnessed that the Virgin Mary Sculpting has been weeping. This has let so many people astonished because many people have never witnessed something like this before. So many onlookers have gathered out of curiosity to witness the weeping statue Mary. Others have gathered to pray because they feel that that is a miracle from God. This sculpting has attracted so many people from all over the world to witness the molding that is crying.

The tears this molding sheds have been likened to balsam and olive oils. This is the exact mixture of oils that Catholics use to perform specific rituals when one is blessed by the bishop. This is why most onlookers who are believers come to pray for healing and forgiveness.

This is not the first claim of a crying molding. There have been similar claims throughout the history of Catholicism. For example, the Madonna molding has been crying since 1953. This is a sculpture that is made using plaster and is very significant to Catholics. Additionally, several other sculptures have been reported to be shedding tears in Macedonia, Argentina, and Hungary to mention just a few.

If you do not first understand the significant connection between the Virgin and miracles, it will be difficult for you to understand why the crying sculpture is religiously meaningful. In the Catholic faith, the virgin is the mother of Jesus, thus God. Therefore, these believers have a strong belief that the virgin can perform so many miracles. Also, all these supernatural occurrences are being attributed to the holy Virgin.

The intercession of the Virgin Mother is also believed to have caused the victory in 1571 during the battle of Lepanto. This means that she is very powerful and when believers intercede through her, they will emerge victorious in any battle that they may be going through. That is why all the Catholics mediate through this powerful woman.

The tears shed by the molding have an importance in the Catholic faith. The Catholics believe that the Virgin cries because of sins committed by humankind. Also, she is believed to cry due to the intense pain she endured while she was still on the earth. There are seven sorrows that she cries for, among them, the crucifixion as well as the death of Jesus.

The flowery scent of both balsam oil and olive oil are used to evoke the virgin. She is called the flower that has no thorns. That is why these two oils are essential in the faith of Catholicism. It is not unusual to see believers gathering around these sculptures praying.

Nonetheless, when such an occurrence takes place, the local bishop must do some investigations. The bishop can do the investigation alone or appoint a committee. This committee will then investigate the occurrence with the guidance of Vatican doctrines standards. They thus evaluate whether the phenomenon is supernatural or not.
