If you need a break from the daily grind, a change will do you good. Sea and sun are the perfect combination for recharging your batteries and one place that offers plenty of both is Boca Raton Florida. In fact, it's one of those cities that people fall in love with and move to in order to enjoy a better quality of life every day.

Boca, as the city is commonly called, is flanked by Fort Lauderdale in the south and West Palm Beach in the north. It lies in Palm Beach County, north of Miami. It's perfect location in South Florida makes it a popular place for people to retire to, have a holiday home or just to visit for a short beach break.

Boca, as the city is usually called, has a typical climate for the Greater Miami area. It is warm throughout the year and even in winter the mercury hardly ever drops below about 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Summers are humid and the area experiences thunderstorms but also plenty of sun. However, there may be a risk of hurricanes.

For museum lovers, the city offers a children's museum as well as a museum of art. The Sports Immortals Showcase Museum is another interesting place to visit. You'll find the remains of a Native American burial mound within city limits and if you want entertainment with a good dash of culture, catch a performance by the Caldwell Theatre Company.

If you love the outdoor lifestyle, you've come to the right place. Golf courses and beaches abound. Go snorkeling at Red Reef Park or head out onto the open ocean for some fishing or sailing. Go walking, jogging or cycling in one of the local parks. You'll also find facilities like basketball or tennis courts, water parks and jungle gyms where the kids can get active too.

You'll find a good selection of shopping centers and malls. For a bit of pampering, there are several spas. The city is a gastronomic paradise too with a huge variety of restaurants that cater for different budgets and for different tastes, from ethnic cuisines like Mexican and Italian to the gourmet creations of innovative and renowned chefs. The local nightclubs and bars aren't concentrated in one area but are spread throughout the different neighborhoods. The city also has some amphitheaters that host performances by big-name acts.

Boca traditionally has quite an upscale image. Most of its inhabitants are affluent, sometimes even famous, and the quality of life here is high. For short-term holiday stays, you have many hotel and resort options. You can also rent an apartment for anything from a few days to a couple of months or even several years. If you're planning on staying for longer, it might be a good idea to invest in real estate here, whether it's a condo or a mansion in a gated community.

Like with any big decision, it's a good idea to know what you'll be getting into before you move to Boca Raton. Ensure that the move will make financial sense by checking the job and business opportunities. Spend some time in the city to see whether it agrees with you and then prepare yourself for living the relaxed Boca Raton lifestyle.
