How Bible Study Groups Can Be Started

By Lucia Weeks

The Scriptures are containing all things which people should be following for them to be living meaningful lives. These are usually containing virtues and values. Most parishes are speaking about the virtues and values through the pastors and the priests.

Sunday masses are not the only means that they can hear about these things. They can join Bible study in Chester CA groups. If their parishes in Chester, CA do not have these programs, enthusiasts can start these teams on their own. They will have to consider some factors when they will form their own study programs.

The individual should be determining the reason why he and others are gathering together in studying the Bible. One could be new to the locality and wants to be meeting new friends. He could also want to be deepening his faith with God. He could also be a Theology student and participating in the event for academic reason.

Appropriate rules should also be set for the events. For instance, they need to ensure that confidentiality is observed by all group mates in these gatherings. At several points, personal stories will be shared by the members which should not be shared with others outside their teams. Issues with their kids or partners could be their burdens. Whatever these gatherings might bring out, these things should be kept between themselves.

The individuals should also be setting a schedule for the meeting. They could be scheduling a discussion every after Sunday mass. Since most persons are working during daytime, the persons should be scheduling the gathering at night for them to be accommodating those who are working during daytime. This way, all the members will be attending the event.

They have to agree on who will be the leaders of their groups. These leaders will be the ones to facilitate the meetings. They may also check the attendance of the members and keep records of them. They may want to rotate these responsibilities among themselves. For instance, certain individuals will lead the groups on Mondays, another for Tuesdays, and so forth.

These persons should be settling housekeeping issues. They should be agreeing on where they will be meeting up. These events will usually be happening in the homes of these individuals. They should be determining whose residence they will be going to for the discussion. They should also be assigning who will be providing the refreshments and the duration of the activity.

Before they begin these gatherings, they have to invoke the grace of God to be with them as they go through the activities. This way, they will be able to understand the Scriptures and relate them to their own lives. With God in their presence, they will also form tighter bonds with each other. After they finish these discussions, they may also have to say their thanks. Whatever they do, they have to put Him first.

After several meet ups, they will be knowing one another better. These individuals should be looking out on one another as they are in the same circle already. If a person is absent for a long time, they should be contacting him. This way, they will be helping the absentee in getting back on track.
